Holly Robertson Rose, PMHNP

Vickie Brown is originally from and currently resides in Overton County, where she and her husband decided to return to raise their daughter near family. After being a stay-at-home mom for years, she graduated with her nursing degree from Tennessee Tech University and then worked in critical care at Cookeville Regional Medical Center for several years. She graduated with her Master of Nursing from the University of Tennessee in 2017 and started working in mental health as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

Vickie is passionate about helping individuals feel their best and achieve stability, happiness and the ability to function to their fullest potential. She is focused on helping the “whole” person, looking at the importance of your overall health along with your mental health, and understands that mental illness does not define an individual. She has experience working with children ages 6 and up, teens, adolescents, adults and geriatrics, and loves helping her community, one person at a time. She understands the importance of communication and support to help individuals feel informed and empowered on their mental health journeys and that it’s important to have these resources in our own communities.

Vickie loves traveling (especially to the beach), listening to podcasts, watching UT football (go Vols!), spending time with her family and her pets— a black golden doodle, Sadie, her cats, Petra and Louie, and several chickens and fish.

Holly Robertson Rose is originally from Nashville but moved to Jackson County in the 4th grade with her parents and two brothers. It’s there that she made life-long friendships. She then went to TTU in Cookeville and earned a BS in Psychology in 2001. After a short time in Orlando, Holly returned to Nashville to earn her Master of Nursing at Vanderbilt University in 2005. Holly has been board-certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2005. She started working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Plateau Mental Health Center where she gained experience treating a large outpatient population as well as working in the Crisis Stabilization Unit. After four years at PMHC, Holly worked for Psych Services doing consultations for seven different nursing homes. Following this, Holly worked for Lifecare Family Services for ten years. Most recently she has been working for Bledsoe County Correctional Complex since April 2020. After working in community mental health for many years, transitioning to a position in the correctional setting was a new challenge and a valuable experience.

Holly has extensive experience working with adult and geriatric patients. She feels strongly that each person has the right to be heard. Everyone has challenges and it’s the goal of the provider to treat the patient as a person and not as an illness. Starting Magnolia Mental Health and Wellness is a wonderful opportunity to create an environment in which the patient can feel respected while the main priority remains their mental health and safety. It’s of utmost importance that each individual feels that they can speak to their provider without fear of judgment and trust that they will receive professional guidance and compassionate care.

In her free time, Holly enjoys spending time with her husband, parents, and friends. Weekends are best with a good mystery novel and her dog, Kaiser, and three cats: Ziggy Stardust, Barnabas Bailey Binx, and Squeaky Joe.
